Do you take insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance. In most cases, we can provide you with a super-bill that you may use to seek reimbursement or out of network benefits from your insurance company. Insurance companies require a diagnosis for coverage. They can also dictate how many sessions you are allowed to receive. This can be problematic and destructive to the treatment plan and progress.

How much does therapy cost?

The therapist’s fee is set based on the level of expertise and experience in the field. The session fee for a 50 minute session with Melanie Graves, MA, LMFT-Supervisor is $200. Extended sessions are available upon request for a fee. Practicum students and clinical interns offer a sliding scale option.

How many sessions do I need?

Each client brings their own unique array of clinical issues and goals for treatment. As such, we will work together during the initial session to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. Most treatment plans involve 8-12 sessions, meeting weekly initially, then progressing to bi-weekly or monthly before phasing out of treatment. Many individuals start to feel better or have a reduction of unhealthy symptoms pretty quickly after beginning treatment. This is definitely a good thing, but can be misinterpreted as having completed treatment. In therapy, our goal is not only to help you feel better, but to break the cycle of unhealthy behaviors or thoughts and then equip you to handle these issues in the future.

How do I know if you’re the therapist I need?

Making the choice to seek out help is hard, and finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming with so many to choose from. We offer free 10 minute phone consultations to make sure it’s a good fit. Call us, or use the contact form to schedule a consultation.
